Heroes Race
Story:
10 heroes compete for
the title of "Elite hero of Northrend".The emperor wants to find the most
efficient hero to help him in battle. To find this hero, he has seperated
all 10 heroes. Then he will send waves of enemies at each hero. The heroes
will have to fight these enemies alone, without helping eachother. If a hero
dies, he's out of the competition. The last hero alive or the fastest
killing hero will win.
About the map:
Im surprised, that no other map makers have used the idea of this map, even
when the previous version, 1.4, is about a year old. The idea is heroes
fighting creeps -alone, without cooperation. Then see who will survive and
who is the fastest killer. Kills give gold, and ofcourse you can buy tomes,
potions and various equipment for your hero.
*10 players
*50 waves
*Every odd level consists of 10 regular units, every even level consists of
1 tough boss.
*Shops to buy tomes, weapons, potions etc
*15 different heroes to choose from
*58 different abilities, with 20 levels each
Plans:
*Minigame in the way of regular dueling. Winner will get extra gold or
perhaps an item.
*Fixing the issue with -debug. For some reason, some kills are not noted.
When that happens, next level wont start by itself, which is why I made the
-debug command to launch next level. The problem is that some players abuse
this by purpose, to reach goal faster. I dont have any solution yet, so
you'll just have to live with it or copy it when someone starts abusing the
command. (You'll risk getting killed by too many creeps)
And about that loading time... I've been trying to fix it for ages, and at
last I found out it can't be done. The lagg is caused by the number of
skills X number of skill levels. In other words, I would have to delete
skills and\or decrease the number of levels for each skills. I've already
reduced the number from 30 to 20, which
reduced the
loading time by 25% when testing in single player.
